A weekly horoscope is a seven-day reading built from exact planetary positions rather than moods, and it works when each transit is read as a psychological question instead of a fixed outcome. This forecast covers October 19 through 25, 2026, for the twelve zodiac signs and the twelve Chinese animals. Two events land on the same Saturday morning, and they point in opposite directions.

Weekly Overview: The Morning Venus Goes Under
The Sun leaves Libra on Friday, October 23 at 09:37 UTC and enters Scorpio. Libra season ran a month of surfaces and agreements. Scorpio season runs four weeks of what sits underneath them. Every year this shift asks the same question in a different costume: what are you keeping, and who pays for it.
The Two Mornings of October 24
The first event is the one almost nobody will mention. At 03:44 UTC on Saturday, the Sun meets retrograde Venus at 0 degrees 45 minutes of Scorpio. The two are fifteen arcminutes apart, which means Venus has effectively vanished inside the Sun's light. Traditional astrologers called this condition cazimi, in the heart of the throne. Astronomers call it the inferior conjunction, the moment Venus passes between Earth and Sun on the inner track.
The mechanics are simple. Venus runs a 584-day cycle and turns retrograde once inside each one, for roughly six weeks. What makes Saturday worth marking is visual. Venus was the evening star through September. On Saturday it disappears into the sunset, stays invisible about eight days, then returns on the other side of the Sun as the morning star.
Myth kept the pattern. Inanna descends through seven gates in the Sumerian poem, removing one ornament at each, and arrives in the underworld with nothing. Carl Jung called the same shape the night sea journey in Symbols of Transformation (1952), a descent that ends in rebirth rather than death. Saturday is where something you value goes underground and comes back with its rank changed. What you wanted in September may return as what you are willing to pay for.
The second event arrives three and a half hours later. Mercury stations retrograde at 07:12 UTC at 20 degrees 59 minutes of Scorpio and stays backward until November 13, when it turns direct at 5 degrees 2 minutes of the same sign. Twenty days. It is the third and last Mercury retrograde of 2026, after February 26 and June 29.
Mercury in Scorpio is a mind that reads the room instead of the menu. Retrograde, it reads the room twice. Jung wrote a long essay on Mercurius in Alchemical Studies (1943), where the same figure appears as trickster, as quicksilver that will not hold a shape, and as a guide between worlds. Both readings are true at once, which is why the standard advice is half right. Messages do get lost. They also get found, and the ones that surface here were already misplaced.
The First Hard Edge
Venus squares Pluto on Tuesday, October 20 at 06:56 UTC, with both at 3 degrees 4 minutes of Scorpio and Aquarius. This is the week's first friction and it lands early. In readings, a Venus-Pluto square shows up as one question about power disguised as a question about money or love. Someone has more say than the arrangement admits. Tuesday is a good day to notice the imbalance without trying to settle it, since the terms change again by mid-November.
The slow planets set the background. Pluto is direct for the first time since May, still crawling at 3 degrees 4 minutes of Aquarius. Saturn is retrograde at 10 degrees 11 minutes of Aries, Neptune retrograde at 2 degrees 23 minutes of the same sign, and Uranus retrograde at 5 degrees 6 minutes of Gemini. Mars and Jupiter stay direct in Leo, at 11 to 15 degrees and 22 degrees. Add Mercury and Venus and you have five retrograde planets by Saturday, a sky built for revision rather than announcement. The next clear window is the second half of November, per the 2026 retrograde dates.
Moon Phases This Week
The Dog Month Runs Out
The Chinese calendar has been in the Xu or Dog month since Cold Dew on October 8, and it closes at Winter Begins on November 7. Xu is the earth branch that stores fire. This is a Fire Horse year, so the Dog month completes the fire trine of Tiger, Horse and Dog that opened in February. The Fire Horse year forecast traces the whole arc.
Inside the month, the branch relations matter more than the element. The Rabbit forms a six combination with Xu and the Dragon clashes it. The Rooster harms it. The Ox and the Goat sit with the Dog in the three punishments of Chou, Xu and Wei, the slowest of the difficult combinations. On that side of the calendar the week reads as heat packed into earth, and the useful move is consolidation. The Sun's move into Scorpio also previews the coming Hai or Pig month, the last water branch of the twelve, which opens November 7.
One client came to me during a Venus retrograde a few years ago convinced her partner was about to leave. The chart could not answer that and I told her so. What it showed was Venus in her second house of income, squared by Pluto, in the same month she had quietly stopped invoicing a client who paid late. She raised her rates in December and the relationship survived fine.

12 Zodiac Signs
House positions below read from Scorpio as the first house, where the Sun spends the weekend and both retrogrades live all week.
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
The Sun leaves your 12th house on Friday and enters your 8th, where both retrogrades already wait. Shared money gets audited this week, mostly by you. Mars in your 5th keeps the creative engine warm. Pluto direct in your 11th resumes a group's slow reorganization. Your growth edge: name the debt before it names you.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Venus rules your sign and it is retrograde in your 7th all week, so one partnership is under review rather than attack. The Sun joins that house on Friday. Mercury turns retrograde there on Saturday, which usually returns an old conversation. Pluto direct in your 10th restarts a professional question from May. Your growth edge: answer the message you have been drafting for a month.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Uranus retrograde in your own sign keeps the floor moving. The Sun and both retrogrades work your 6th house, so routine carries the week's real decisions. Mercury, your ruler, stations on Saturday, so every plan needs a second draft. Pluto direct in your 9th reopens a belief you shelved in May. Your growth edge: keep one small promise to your body.
Cancer (June 22 - July 22)
Your 5th house holds the Sun from Friday plus both retrogrades, so a creative or romantic matter gets revisited. Old feeling returns with information attached. Pluto direct in your 8th begins to settle a shared resource question from May. Saturn retrograde in your 10th asks whether the job is still the plan. Your growth edge: say the plain sentence you have been decorating.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Mars and Jupiter both sit in your sign, a pairing that has been scarce in recent years. The Sun crosses your 4th house on Friday and turns attention home. Both retrogrades land there, so a family question needs a second reading. Pluto direct in your 7th shifts a relationship's power balance. Your growth edge: spend your fire on the room you live in.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde in your 3rd house on Saturday, so everything you send this week is a first draft. The Sun joins that house of words on Friday. Venus retrograde there reviews an arrangement with a sibling or neighbor. Pluto direct in your 6th makes a work pattern visible enough to change. Your growth edge: send less and check more.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Your birthday month ends on Friday and the Sun moves into your 2nd house of money. Mercury and Venus retrograde already sit there, so an income question gets a deadline. Pluto direct in your 5th returns something creative from May. Mars and Jupiter in your 11th favor the group. Your growth edge: put a number on the thing you keep calling exposure.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio season opens Friday at 09:37 UTC, and on Saturday the Sun meets retrograde Venus in your own sign while Mercury turns retrograde in your 1st house. Since October 3 you have been reviewing what you want, and now the review has an audience. Mars and Jupiter in your 10th keep career loud. Your growth edge: let one person see the unfinished version.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
The Sun moves into your 12th house on Friday, starting the quietest four weeks of your year. Mercury and Venus retrograde are already there, so the review turns internal. Pluto direct in your 3rd reopens a conversation with a sibling or a teacher. Mars and Jupiter in your 9th keep the horizon close. Your growth edge: rest before the birthday energy arrives.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
The Sun enters your 11th house on Friday, so the group becomes the subject. Both retrogrades sit there, so a friendship or a network promise gets examined for what it costs. Pluto direct in your 2nd starts to answer a money question from May. Mars and Jupiter in your 8th bring other people's timing into play. Your growth edge: ask for the favor before you need it.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Pluto is direct again in your own sign at 3 degrees 4 minutes and moving forward for the first time since May. Nothing visible happens this week and something has already changed. The Sun enters your 10th house on Friday, putting career in front. Mercury and Venus retrograde there audit your public work. Your growth edge: write down what you decided in May.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
The Sun moves into your 9th house on Friday and widens the frame. Mercury and Venus retrograde there review a belief or a course you never finished. Pluto direct in your 12th can return an old feeling with information attached. Mars and Jupiter in your 6th push daily work. Your growth edge: finish the thing before you enroll in the next one.

12 Chinese Zodiac Signs
Rat
Yang Water moves by finding the lowest path. The Dog month stores fire, so the water you carry runs cooler than the season suggests. Mercury retrograde favors the second reading of a document.
Ox
Your Yin Earth sits inside the Dog month's three punishments with the Goat, the slowest of the difficult combinations. A mild irritation with a colleague is structural rather than personal. Endure it.
Tiger
Your fire trine with the Horse and the Dog is fully assembled this month and closes November 7. Yang Wood grows toward the light it can see, so name the goal out loud.
Rabbit
The Dog month is your six combination, the most cooperative pairing of the year. Yin Wood bends, and bending this week means asking first. One favor asked on Monday returns by Friday.
Dragon
The Dog month clashes your branch, so the next three weeks test how you hold center. Yang Earth holds by staying still and letting other people move first. Let the provocation pass.
Snake
Yin Fire burns steady and slow, which suits a week that rewards finishing. The Sun entering Scorpio turns your season inward. Say less in meetings and send the completed file instead.
Horse
Your fire trine with the Tiger and the Dog is complete, and this is the year's high point for visible work. Yang Fire travels by being seen. Pick one thing and show it before the month closes.
Goat
The Sun enters your seat of Scorpio on Friday, and the Dog month places your branch inside the three punishments. Luck here means tending rather than pushing. Keep the appointment and skip the announcement.
Monkey
Yang Metal wins by shipping. Mercury retrograde sits in the water sign of the season, so your plan sharpens on the second pass. The idea you abandoned in June is worth reopening.
Rooster
The Dog month harms your branch, so friction with one person carries information rather than insult. Yin Metal sharpens by being used. Do the difficult piece of the work yourself and delegate the rest.
Dog
Your month runs to November 7 and Pluto is direct again in the sky above it. Yang Earth stands firm, and firm this week means consolidating what you own. One long-term power shift starts moving now.
Pig
Your month begins at Winter Begins on November 7, and the Sun's move into Scorpio is the last stretch before it. Yin Water wins by continuing. Keep the receipts and the small daily practice.

Lucky Stars of the Week
Western Zodiac: Scorpio. The Sun, Mercury and retrograde Venus all sit in your sign, Venus reaches the heart of the Sun on Saturday, and Mercury turns retrograde in your 1st house three hours later. That is a review building since October 3, and now it has an audience of one. Say the true thing to one person rather than the impressive thing to a room. Venus stays retrograde until November 14, so what resolves now settles formally later.
Chinese Zodiac: Goat. The Sun enters your seat on Friday while the Dog month keeps your branch inside the three punishments, a mixed hand rather than a bad one. Those punishments reward maintenance and punish grand gestures. Tend one relationship, finish one obligation, and let the earth settle.

What have I been calling patience when it was really an audit I was avoiding? Whose approval am I still pricing my work against, and what would I charge for it if that person never saw the invoice?
