Weekly Zodiac & Horoscope Forecast October 12 - 18, 2026: Pluto Turns Direct

A weekly horoscope is a seven-day reading built from exact planetary positions rather than moods, and it works by treating each transit as a psychological question instead of a fixed outcome. This forecast covers October 12 through 18, 2026, for the twelve zodiac signs and the twelve Chinese animals. The week's loudest event is a planet that finally stops walking backward.

Weekly Overview: The Planet That Stops

Pluto stations direct on Friday, October 16, at 03:00 UTC, holding at 3 degrees 4 minutes of Aquarius. It turned retrograde on May 6 at 5 degrees 31 minutes of the same sign, so the walk backward runs 163 days.

Pluto takes 248 years to circle the Sun and has sat in Aquarius since November 2024, where it stays until 2043. Clyde Tombaugh found it from the Lowell Observatory in 1930, and astronomers reclassified it as a dwarf planet in 2006. Pluto governs whatever holds power over you without your consent, and a station is the moment that power changes hands.

Carl Jung described this kind of turn in Mysterium Coniunctionis. "Confrontation with the shadow produces at first a dead balance, a standstill that hampers moral decisions," he wrote. Then the line that matters this week: "Every descent is followed by an ascent." Something has been going down and inward since May. On Friday it stops.

The second exact aspect arrives four hours after the station. Mars trines retrograde Saturn on October 16 at 07:00 UTC, with Mars at 10 degrees 21 minutes of Leo and Saturn at 10 degrees 23 minutes of Aries. Both signs are fire, so Mars, which wants speed, and Saturn, which wants proof, can trade instead of argue. A day earlier the Sun sextiles Jupiter at 22 degrees of Leo, a quieter grace for whatever you have been rehearsing.

Venus is still retrograde in Scorpio, sliding from 7 degrees on Monday to 4 degrees on Sunday. Mercury is direct but inside its pre-retrograde shadow and stations on October 24 at 21 degrees of Scorpio, so this week's conversation is a first draft. Check the 2026 retrograde dates before you sign anything.

The Moon opens the week in Scorpio, moves into Sagittarius on Wednesday, and reaches Capricorn on Friday afternoon. The First Quarter lands on Sunday, October 18 at 16:20 UTC, at 25 degrees 22 minutes of Capricorn. That puts the lunar month's hinge in the sign of structure rather than feeling. The ascent Jung described arrives as a plan or a schedule rather than a mood.

The Chinese calendar has been in the Xu or Dog month since Cold Dew on October 8, and it runs to Winter Begins on November 7. Xu is the earth branch that stores fire, and this is a Fire Horse year, so the Dog closes the fire trine of Tiger, Horse and Dog that opened in February. On that side of the calendar the week reads as heat finding a container, and the Fire Horse year forecast traces the arc.

In my eight years of readings, the week of a Pluto station behaves unlike the week of an eclipse. Nobody posts about it and nothing dramatic happens on the day. One client spent last autumn's station rewriting a resignation letter she never sent, then mailed it in the spring and could not explain the delay. The decision had not finished forming.

12 Zodiac Signs

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

The Sun keeps working your opposite sign, so one other person holds the month's attention. Friday's Pluto station lands in your 11th house of groups, where a quiet power shift has run since May. Mars, your ruler, stands in your 5th and trines Saturn in your own sign. Force applied to a structure beats force applied to a person. Venus retrograde in your 8th keeps shared money under review. Your growth edge: let the deadline discipline the fire.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

A career matter that stalled in May starts moving again, since Pluto turns direct in your 10th house. The Sun in your 6th puts the week's real work in the routine: the appointment kept, the file finished. Mars and Jupiter heat your 4th house of home until late November, and Friday's trine adds structure to that heat. Venus, your ruler, stays retrograde in your 7th until mid-November. Your growth edge: keep the promise you made to yourself.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Pluto direct in your 9th house reopens a question about what you believe and who taught you. Uranus retrograde in your own sign keeps the floor moving, uncomfortable and useful in equal parts. Mars and Jupiter in your 3rd give the week its push, and Wednesday's Sun sextile to Jupiter eases one exchange you expected to be hard. Mercury, your ruler, walks into its retrograde shadow, so the message you send now gets revised later. Your growth edge: send it anyway.

Cancer (June 22 - July 22)

The Sun works your 4th house, so home is the subject this week. Pluto stations direct in your 8th, where shared money and other people's timing have been stuck since May, and Friday begins to resolve it. Mars and Jupiter in your 2nd push at income. Saturn retrograde in your 10th asks what your work is built on. Mercury and Venus review a creative or romantic account in your 5th. Your growth edge: say the number at home first.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Mars and Jupiter are both in your sign, and on Friday Mars trines Saturn in your 9th house. That pairing is rare and specific: your engine meets a frame that holds it. Wednesday's Sun sextile to Jupiter is a small gift for anything involving words. Pluto stations direct in your 7th, where the power balance in one close relationship has shifted quietly since May. Venus retrograde in your 4th keeps the domestic question practical. Your growth edge: take the structure, not the applause.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

A routine that has quietly run you becomes visible enough to change, since Pluto turns direct in your 6th house of work and health. The Sun in your 2nd makes the week about the number, and Sunday's First Quarter lands in your 5th, asking what you make for pleasure. Mercury, your ruler, is direct in your 3rd but heads into retrograde on October 24. Mars and Jupiter in your 12th want sleep. Your growth edge: fix one hour of the day and hold it.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

The Sun is in your own sign, and Sunday's First Quarter falls in your 4th house, so the month's decision is about where you live and who gets your private hours. Pluto direct in your 5th gives back whatever creative power you parked in May. Mars and Jupiter in your 11th favor the group. Saturn retrograde in your 7th keeps one commitment honest. Venus, your ruler, is retrograde in your 2nd, which is why the money question keeps returning. Your growth edge: price the work before you describe it.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

Venus retrograde and Mercury are both in your own sign, so the year's deepest review happens inside you. Pluto, your modern ruler, stations direct in your 4th on Friday, which turns that review toward home, family and the ground you stand on. Mars and Jupiter keep your 10th busy until late November. Sunday's First Quarter lands in your 3rd, favoring one plain conversation. Scorpio season opens October 23. Your growth edge: answer the family question first.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

A conversation with a sibling or a teacher has stalled since May. Pluto's station in your 3rd house reopens it. Mars and Jupiter are in your 9th, the long view you usually live inside, and Friday's trine to Saturn gives that view a spine. The Sun in your 11th favors the group over the solo push. Venus retrograde in your 12th asks you to close an attachment rather than reopen it. Sunday's First Quarter points at money. Your growth edge: send the message you keep rewriting.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

The First Quarter Moon lands in your own sign on Sunday at 25 degrees of Capricorn, so the lunar month's hinge is yours. The Sun in your 10th keeps the career question in front of you, and Pluto stations direct in your 2nd, where a money question has sat unresolved since May. Mars and Jupiter in your 8th bring other people's money and timing into play. Saturn, your ruler, stays retrograde in your 4th. Your growth edge: put the raise in writing.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Pluto stations direct in your own sign on Friday at 3 degrees of Aquarius. Nothing visible will happen that day, and something will have changed by December. Since May you have been reviewing a version of yourself that no longer fits, and Friday is when it starts producing decisions. The Sun in your 9th widens the frame. Mars and Jupiter in your 7th heat a partnership's terms. Mercury and Venus keep your public work under audit. Your growth edge: say the thing you have been testing in private.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

What you buried waits in your 12th house. Pluto turning direct there on Friday can return an old feeling with information attached. The Sun in your 8th keeps the week on shared money and other people's timing. Mars and Jupiter in your 6th push daily work, and the trine to Saturn in your 2nd puts a floor under income. Venus retrograde in your 9th reviews a belief you have outgrown. Your growth edge: send the invoice the day the work ships.

Lucky Stars of the Week

Western Zodiac: Scorpio. Venus retrograde and Mercury both sit in your sign, the Moon is there Monday and Tuesday, and your modern ruler stops walking backward on Friday after 163 days. That is a review arriving at its turn. Venus stays retrograde until November 14, so what resolves now settles formally later. Say the true thing to one person rather than the impressive thing to a room.

Chinese Zodiac: Horse. The Sun spends the week in Libra, the Horse's own seat in this mapping, and the Dog month completed the fire trine of Tiger, Horse and Dog. Pluto's station touches your house of pleasure rather than your work. Yang Fire travels by being seen. Pick one thing to show and stop hedging about it.

Shadow Work Journaling Prompt

What have I been reviewing since May without admitting it was a review? Where has waiting become a decision I did not make on purpose, and what would the ascent look like written down as a plan?
